Olio – A Food Revolution

There’s car sharing, ride-sharing and now food sharing. It’s Olio, a revolutionary food sharing app.

Have you ever bought too much or ended up not using something? That’s where Olio comes in. Olio is a company based in the UK trying to start a food revolution by reducing food waste. You post items you don’t want/need and someone who does will come and pick them up. If you’re unsure of what you should or shouldn’t post, look at the previously posted items. It’ll give you a good idea.

This would be a great place to post any extra veggies from the free community markets. There are two Saturdays left. You can find more info on that post here.

Currently, there are very few users in the Valley but we can change that. Download the app via the App Store or Google Play and let’s join the food revolution!

  1. What a cool idea! Have you heard of Bountiful Baskets? Bountifulbaskets.org
You get a selection of produce from local farms every week. You should order one and tell me how it goes.
